At the end of our Senior year, I could not wait to get out of Hudson. Two weeks after graduation I moved to Washington, D.C. and worked for the Navy Department. I met my husband at a disco in D.C. and we were married in March of 1968. He was in the Navy and when he was discharged we moved to his home state of Delaware where we raised our two kids. After both of our children graduated from high school we started moving back and forth between Delaware and D.C., until we reached retirement age, and decided to relocate back to Michigan. Thus, my motto - Never Say Never. I have been back in Hudson since the fall of 2009; I am a retired legal secretary; I live just three houses away from my childhood home; and I am enjoying getting reacquainted with my community. I am on the Planning Commission, involved with the Bean Creek Heritage Festival, our 45th Class Reunion Committee, and a local Community Women's Bible Study. Didn't think I would ever say it, but it is good to be home again.
